The problem
Retail software has let small businesses down in the same few ways. It needed an expensive machine. It stopped working when the power went. When the device broke, the records went with it. And it cost a lot before a single sale was made.
Avant Grobel wanted a product a chemist, a supermarket or a growing chain could start using the same afternoon.
What we built
Avano runs in the browser on any phone, tablet or computer. Nothing to install and no hardware to buy.
- The phone camera scans barcodes, so there is no separate scanner.
- Common items are pre-loaded by business type, so setup takes minutes.
- Stock, takings, costs and profit update with every sale.
- Staff each get only the access they need, and every sale is attributed.
- Larger businesses get multi-location views, profit and loss, daily cash reconciliation, purchase orders and expiry warnings.
